Multiple OS
What number of server Operating Systems will you be able to pick from?
An Operating System is the software that interacts with the hardware of a computer and is the intermediary between the installed applications and the hardware, which includes peripheral devices such as a printer, a mouse or a keyboard. When you run an app, it transfers requests to the OS through an API (Application Program Interface) and the interaction is done via a command line or a Graphical User Interface (GUI). Similar to a personal computer, hosting servers also have an Operating System that functions as a host for any software installed on them, including script apps or server-side software such as a flash server, a VOIP server, and many others. A virtual machine can be generated on a physical one, so you could install a guest OS on it and have a different system environment compared to the physical server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We offer you as many as 3 different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the most stable and reliable OSs on the market and we supply all three of them rather than just 1 as we realize that you may want to set up some software which has specific requirements for the Operating System it will run on. The latter is because each of the three Operating Systems has a vast support community behind it and there are various software packages you can install on the web hosting server. Your OS choice will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS in case you wish to use one and because of this we offer several Control Panels as well. Should you decide that you need to have another OS, our technical support can quickly wipe the current one and install the one that you would like. In addition, we offer an optional service to keep the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
If you decide to get one of our
dedicated servers, you will find three Operating Systems on the registration page because we want to give you a broader choice regarding the system environment on the server as different apps could have certain requirements. CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian feature different modules developed by their large support communities, so you can select any of these OSs and benefit from a stable and risk-free Internet hosting service. Depending on your selection, you will also have different Control Panels to choose from. Of course, we can always change the Operating System in case the one you have selected initially does not meet the requirements of the software which you'd like to run. We can also update your OS regularly in order to keep it as secure as possible using our Managed Services upgrade package.
